Recycling Reference

Soft plastic household bottles or jars such as 2-liter soda bottles, Plastics I and II only

  • Cereal box liners
  • Milk/water jugs
  • Laundry/cleaning products containers

HOW TO PREPARE:

REMOVE & DISCARD LIDS IN TRASH rinse and flatten, if possible

DO NOT RECYCLE:

  • Plastic bags
  • Plastic containers used for motor oil, automotive products, paints, solvents, lawn care products, and chemicals
  • Shampoo Bottles
  • Foam for packing materials and food or drink containers
  • Tin food cans
  • Aluminum & Steel beverage cans
  • Aluminum foil and pie pans

HOW TO PREPARE:

REMOVE & DISCARD LIDS IN TRASH, Rinse cans to remove all food residue. Remove all labels from tin cans.

DO NOT RECYCLE:

  • Cans used for chemicals or paints
  • Appliances, power tools
  • Batteries
  • Hangers
  • All newspapers, including color inserts (including glossy)
  • Phonebooks, Magazines, Books
  • Junk mail and other paper
  • Brown paper bags
  • Corrugated cardboard (breakdown and tie in bundles)
  • Drink boxes, milk & juice cartons
  • Food boxes, cereal, etc.-Remove liners in boxes

HOW TO PREPARE:

Place papers in paper, plastic bag or tie to prevent papers from blowing out.
